The objects and elements are personal ones that I either created, captured or experienced. Pieces of the dollhouse furniture were made by me in my teens so the objects and images in this diorama and painting are very personal ones. Included toys are a miniature rocking horse, ladder, chair, mirror and day bed. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDiorama Scenes for Painting at Home \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"paragraph\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis original painting was created from observation of the diorama, slowly building up thin layers of paint on wood panel. After lockdown in March 2020, I revisited my travel photography, drawings and paintings and using them to create new artwork at home. This painting is a way for me to travel from home by combining my travel photographs, sketches, memories and childhood mementos with a carefully controlled and idealized version of a living space.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe original artwork is signed on the back and was painted in July 2020 during COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns in Toronto.
